Moody Awen I

$80.00

I was utterly enchanted by a redwood tree in Scotland, in one of those bone shaking, earth shattering, heal your heart, once in a lifetime kind of ways. Awen is a fortress, an ancient and sentient being, holding both certainty and solidity in her enormous tapering trunk. She is a solace, a tender embrace, and an ally in finding my center.

Last summer, I stumbled upon a brilliant printmaker and access to a printing press right around the corner from where I was staying in Dunbar, Scotland. While I am not systematic or meticulous by nature, I truly loved using the printing press and incising images of Awen on cardboard, plexiglass, and zinc to see the various textures and differences in final prints.

Moody Awen I is drypoint on cardboard.

My drypoints are crafted by incising a plate and utilizing a printing press to produce small batches of multiple images. These handmade prints are created with Cranfield oil based, eco-friendly inks and high-quality printmaking paper.

Each print comes with a white border for ease of matting and framing. This series consists of 5 X 7 images on various sized paper, and the print will fit in an 8 X 10 frame.

Please allow for around 2 weeks for packaging and shipping.
